This book contains an introduction to the Scratch Software Development Environment (IDE), how to use this IDE for building program scripts and a brief overview of computing basics. It is intended for teachers and parents who want to learn about Scratch to be able to support either their students or their children as they take their first steps in programming. But there is no reason why any other person wanting to learn about Scratch or starting to learn about programming concepts should not find the book useful as well. As well as explaining how to use the Scratch IDE, this book provides an introduction to some basic computing concepts such as a loops and branches.
