The Siemens PTI Power System Simulator (PSS®E) is a package of programs for studies of power system transmission network and generation performance in both steady-state and dynamic conditions.
PSS®E handles power flow, fault analysis (balanced and unbalanced), network equivalent construction, and dynamic simulation. Using PSS®E, the engineer can handle a wide range of investigations for the planning and operation of modern electric power systems.
