PetroAlchemy项目源于我为石油工程创建一个名为petrolpy的开源项目的首次尝试。 愿景是为对石油评估感兴趣的任何人创建一个有用的工具的开源桌面应用程序。 作为油藏工程师，我想构建实际使用的工具。 因此，该项目从下降曲线分析开始，并估算井或一组井的现金流量。 目的是在易用性和扩展性之间取得平衡，以进行高级分析。

该桌面应用程序是使用和创建的。 除非您正在运行数千条下降曲线，否则执行下降曲线分析和运行现金流不会占用大量计算资源，这时需要针对速度进行代码优化。 由于此工具的重点是一次分析几口井，因此Python是功能开发和原型制作的理想选择。
